Obsidian Flow System

Setup & Onboarding

INSTALL · ACTIVATE · EXECUTE

Precision tools require structured execution.

Obsidian Flow tools are delivered as a single DLL file that installs directly into NinjaTrader 8. Each tool has its own license key, tied to one machine, and delivered through your automated purchase flow. This page gives your users one clean place to understand installation, activation, machine transfer, and subscription behavior before they begin.

How It Works

Obsidian Flow tools are packaged into a single ObsidianFlow.dll file and imported into NinjaTrader 8 through the native NinjaScript Add-On workflow. Once installed, your purchased tools become available inside charts or the SuperDOM depending on the product.

Every tool operates on its own license key. That key is assigned to one machine, validated on load, and managed through your website’s transfer system whenever a user needs to move access to a new computer.

Important: Obsidian Flow tools are designed to provide clarity, structure, and institutional confirmation — not fixed trade signals. Users should backtest, observe, and refine how they apply the tools inside their own execution model.

What This Page Covers

  • How the purchase and delivery flow works
  • How to install the DLL into NinjaTrader 8
  • How to activate tools with license keys
  • How subscriptions and machine transfer are handled

Purchase Flow

Customer purchases on the website → receives an automated email → downloads the DLL → installs inside NinjaTrader → pastes the correct license key into the tool → the tool activates on the next load.

01

Purchase

The customer completes checkout on your website for a suite or individual tool.

02

Email Delivery

An automated email from noreply@obsidianflow.tech delivers the license key(s) and download link.

03

Secure Download

The customer downloads ObsidianFlow.dll. The download link expires after 24 hours.

04

Import & Use

After import and restart, the user adds the tool and pastes the matching license key under the License group.

Installation Steps

Installation is intentionally simple and uses NinjaTrader’s native import process. Once the DLL is installed, the tools appear in the appropriate indicator or SuperDOM column menus depending on product type.

01

Open NinjaTrader 8

Launch NinjaTrader 8 and make sure the platform is fully loaded before beginning the import process.

02

Import the DLL

Navigate to Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On and select the downloaded ObsidianFlow.dll file.

03

Restart When Prompted

Allow NinjaTrader to complete the import and restart the platform when prompted so the tools can register properly.

04

Locate Your Tools

After restart, chart indicators will appear in the indicator list and SuperDOM tools will appear in the SuperDOM column selector.

License Activation

Open any chart or SuperDOM and add the tool you purchased. In the tool settings panel, find the License Key field under the License group. Paste the matching key from your purchase email.

The tool activates automatically on the next load. Each tool has its own key, so users with multiple products should use the correct key for each tool.

Activation Notes

  • Every tool has its own license key
  • Keys are tied to one machine at a time
  • Paste the key exactly as delivered in the purchase email
  • Activation occurs automatically on the next load

Best Practice

Install first, restart NinjaTrader, then begin activating tools one by one. This keeps the setup process clean and avoids confusion when loading multiple products at once.

Machine Transfer

Each license is locked to one machine. To transfer a license to a new machine, users should visit obsidianflow.tech/transfer-license, enter the purchase email and matching license key, and submit the reset request.

Once the lock is reset, the tool can be loaded on the new machine and will bind automatically after the next validation cycle.

Transfer Policy

  • One machine per license key
  • Transfer is handled through the website reset page
  • User must provide the correct email and key
  • Useful when upgrading or replacing a computer

Need to Move Access?

Use the transfer page before loading on a new computer. This prevents confusion and keeps the activation process smooth for legitimate users.

Access Status

Obsidian Flow tools are subscription based. If a subscription lapses, the tool stops rendering on the next load. When the subscription is reactivated, access is restored automatically within minutes.

This keeps delivery simple for the customer while preserving active access control for your platform.

Subscription Behavior

  • Active subscription = tool continues rendering normally
  • Lapsed subscription = tool stops rendering on next load
  • Reactivated subscription = access restored automatically
  • No manual reinstallation should be required

What to Tell Users

If a tool suddenly stops rendering after a billing issue, the first thing to check is subscription status. Once billing is restored, access should return automatically within minutes.

This page should work as the customer’s clean starting point. From here, they should know how to install, activate, transfer, and maintain access to the tools. Pair this page with your Recommended Settings page and your Transfer License page for a complete first-touch onboarding experience.
